Did you know you have wonderful havens for wildlife right on your doorstep?

Big Pool Wood and Spinnies Aberogwen Nature Reserves are very special places, and two of our favourites. Visit these hidden gems and you’re in for a treat!

It's well proven that there is nothing better than time in nature to boost your wellbeing, and these two places are perfect for just that - at quiet times you may well have the place to yourself.  Both reserves are close to other areas rich in wildlife, so take an hour’s wander or take an afternoon to explore further.

These nature reserves are open every day and free to visit. They have clear paths through lovely surroundings, are easily accessible and can be visited by car, bus or bicycle.

Help us protect the wildlife and wild places you love!

These are just two of the 35 nature reserves we manage across North Wales. They are managed by our team of reserve officers and fabulous volunteers, but we need your help. We rely heavily on membership to generate the funds we need to do this work. We just can’t do it without the support of the people who live and work here, and those who visit and love the area too – people just like you!
