About the event
Join us for a unique opportunity to celebrate Anglesey’s cultural heritage by recording historic landscape names and stories!
Our Corsydd Calon Môn project, in collaboration with the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historic Monuments of Wales, invites you to Neuadd Talwrn for a special workshop contributing to the List of Historic Place Names.
Explore physical and digital maps to identify and share historic names for fields, crossroads, and landmarks, or alternative names for parts of villages. We’re also keen to hear any stories or folklore connected to these places. Your contributions will help preserve Anglesey’s rich heritage for future generations.
Expert Dr James January McCann will be on hand to provide insights and guidance throughout the event and we’ll also have tea, coffee, and biscuits available to keep you refreshed while you take part.
Whether you drop by for five minutes or stay for longer, we’d love to hear from you. Your knowledge and memories could become a lasting part of Anglesey’s recorded history!
The event organiser speaks fluent Welsh, please feel free to use Welsh or English during this event.
