Whether you like working indoors or out, there are lots of different volunteering opportunities available with North Wales Wildlife Trust.
The first step to volunteering is to register by completing our online form - we'll then be in touch to have a chat about the type of volunteering you would like to do. As well as helping local wildlife, you can meet new people; keep fit; learn new skills; share your own experiences; increase your knowledge of wildlife conservation and, of course, enjoy yourself! Whether you can spare a whole day or a few hours, the time you give makes a huge difference.

Student placements & work experience
If you are at school or college and are thinking of a career in conservation, North Wales Wildlife Trust may be able to offer you the opportunity to complete your work experience or student placement. This could be your first step to a career in the competitive environmental sector. Placements can be from 1 week to 3 months. Longer placements may be considered on an individual basis.

Public facing and event volunteering
Did you know we run or attend over 200 public facing events each year and have over 400 active conservation volunteers!
But not everyone wants to get their hands dirty on a reserve. We are looking for existing volunteers and new ones to assists us with some of these events and or be visible on some of our reserves as a point of contact with the trust.

Volunteering with your local group
Wherever you live in North Wales, there will be a North Wales Wildlife Trust Branch near you. These are run by volunteers who help to raise the profile of the Wildlife Trust in their local communities. They organise lots of wildlife-themed events and activities all throughout the year including guided walks, family fun days and talks by local experts. Why not go along to one of their meetings and get more involved? You’ll connect with local people who share a common interest in wildlife. Whether you’re a face-painter or a cake-baker, you may be just what your local Branch is looking for!
