Update 30th July

OUT ALL DAY

The nest is now being used less and less with all the ospreys out all day spending more time just perching and flying around, often to the north of Llyn Brenig over Gors Maen Llwyd (NWWT Reserve).

We usually see KC5 (Dwynwen) come to the nest early evening calling to be fed. This is when we tend to see both parents bringing in fish, often BLUE24 is first in with a meal  followed by HR7 not long afterwards giving KC5(Dwynwen) a choice of fish with 2 in the nest. Up to now BLUE24 has been feeding KC5 (Dwynwen) but Wednesday (29th) she brought in a large live fish to the nest and flew off leaving KC5 (Dwynwen) to deal with it, which she did brilliantly. Once meal time is over the nest is empty again.

The Osprey lookout is open Thursday to Sunday throughout the season, follow the signs just past the sailing club, the new exit does not take you past us anymore, follow the signs round and you can still get out the old way.
