Exploring the future of freshwater in the Conwy river catchment

When the first rains fell, the earth awakened
Where rivers wandered, life could flourish!

Freshwater exploration

We know that landscape-scale conservation projects can deliver impact on the ground but, to achieve real and lasting change, people and their communities must be recognised as the main driver in nature’s recovery.

The Gofod Glas project creatively explores people’s relationship with freshwater in the Conwy river catchment area. As a development project it seeks to discover why this is important to people and explores how we can work towards clean and healthy freshwater in the future.

We have received financial support from the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation to explore and discuss the theme of freshwater with curiosity. We seek to collaborate with communities in different and engaging ways, being open to discussions, responsive to requests and interested in ideas.

Gofod Glas want to explore what water means to you. How you interact with it and questions such as: What is your relationship with water? What is your understanding? What is your perspective? Together we can explore where to find the answers, and what they might be.
