Discover winter trees at Eithinog

A pair of large bare trees stand to the left as part of a patchy hedgerow. The fields to either side are covered with a blanket of white snow, and the trees marking the far boundaries are all brown and dormant. The sky is a pale frosty blue, with only a few thin clouds. The trees have cast a large intricate shadow on the field behind them.

About the event

Learn how to identify and record trees by looking at buds, bark and the shape of trees.

Knowing what species we have on our nature reserves helps us to better manage our sites. You can help us by recording the nature you see when visiting our reserves. No experience or prior knowledge is needed, just an interest in being outside looking at nature.

The event leader speaks conversational Welsh, please feel free to use Welsh or English during this event.
