A partially frozen pond, with numerous different types of wildfowl and waders in the centre and stood around the edges on the ice. The area the pond is in is enclosed at the back by bare trees that are a vibrant orange in the winter suns glow. behind them are many snowy fields and hedgerows, with some hills in the far distance.

Discover wintering wildfowl and waders along the peaceful Alaw estuary

A very high and thin waterfall cascades down the dark bare rocks in the centre. On either side at the top of the falls, trees and other vegetation cling to the cliff side. At the very bottom left a person is just visible, showing the massive scale of the falls (at 120 feet tall).

Aber Falls wildlife walk

A brisk winter wildlife walk up the valley to the waterfalls when they'll hopefully be dramatic and full of winter rainfall.

The white arch. A geological feature where the pale white rock of the cliff outcrop has been worn away by the sea to create an archway above, and a channel through to a shallow semi enclosed area of water.

Coastal cliffs and beaches

Look out for early spring wildlife and amazing coastal geology with arches, blow holes, coloured cliffs and beaches.

A quarry area now overgrown with vegetation, trees and other larger plants, but still with large bare patches of ground. To the left there is a steep rockface, with grasses growing everywhere. To the right hills and woodlands rise up to enclose the area. In the very far left background a town can be seen, along with fields fading into the horizon and meeting the clouds.
