Here we go again! It’s that time of year when the temperatures drop, the nights draw in and our valiant project officers hit the road in their quest to sign-up the coming years’ participants. One of the great things about Our Wild Coast is that any young people can take part, whether you are a passionate environmentalist looking to forge a career in conservation or someone who knows nothing about wildlife but simply loves the feeling of being outdoors – and that’s reflected again in the variety of groups we have on board this year. The most exciting news so far is that after years of trying, our project officer Andy has finally managed to get groups up and running with every single secondary school on Anglesey – a fantastic achievement! Elsewhere in North Wales we have also got new groups joining us from West Rhyl Young People’s Project, Ysgol Tir Morfa, Conwy Youth Services, Y Dref Werdd and Ysgol Glan Y Mor – to name but a few. Not all of our groups stay with us all year though, so if you know of a group who might want to take part in the project between now and summer 2020 then drop us a line.
