Join us for a spring walk on Halkyn Mountain. We'll be joined by traditional storyteller, Andy Harrop-Smith, who will tell the tales of the old mines.

About the event

Come along for a 4.2km intermediate but leisurely walk to explore the southern end of Halkyn Mountain, with stops to discover its mining heritage and wildlife.

This circular walk will start just outside Berth-Ddu village. We'll then walk up to Moel Y Gaer Rhosesmor, and through the wonderful grasslands.

Mobility

Terrain can steep, uneven and boggy in places.

This will be a 4.2km intermediate but leisurely walk, including gradual incline and hilly descents.

No public toilets available. However there's many great pubs and eateries on the Common including the Blue Bell Inn which serves hot drinks from 12 noon

Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather, sturdy walking boots advised.

Bring your own water and food as required.
