Boost for the Wrexham Industrial Estate Living Landscape

Boost for the Wrexham Industrial Estate Living Landscape

The Wrexham Industrial Estate Living Landscape project has received a funding boost allowing us to work with more businesses over the next year to bring wildlife and green spaces into people's daily lives.

We are pleased to announce that the Wrexham Industrial Estate Living Landscape project has received funding from several sources in order to continue our work to help wildlife and people alike in this area for another year. The resources will allow us to restore more meadows, sow wildflower strips, manage woodland, dig ponds and create outdoor seating areas for staff to get a dose of nature during their day. All this contributes to The Wildlife Trusts ambition for at least 30% of our land and sea to be connected and protected for nature’s recovery by 2030.

This project has received funding through Cadwyn Clwyd and the Welsh Government Rural Communities - Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Welsh Government.

This project has also received funding from the Welsh Government via the Landfill Disposals Tax Communities Scheme administered by the WCVA.

You can get involved in the project by contacting our project officer, Henry Cook, at henry.cook@northwaleswildlifetrust.org.uk. We will be running volunteer activities and events during the year for a variety of experiences, enjoying team-work and learning new skills.
