BLUE24 RETURNS. It was great to welcome back BLUE24 to her nest at Llyn Brenig on 22nd March 2020, just one day earlier than last year. She wasted no time in fussing around her nest and making a scrape in readiness for her eggs, she just needed HR7 back on the nest.
Blue24 and HR7 are back.
WHERE IS HR7? Days went by and still no sign of HR7, so BLUE24 took herself off on a day trip to the Clywedog nest. She is probably not the most patient of ospreys as we have observed at times when she wanted KA5 (Roli) back on the nest and he had other ideas
FINALLY . The days had now turned into a week then more days, yes we were all getting very concerned, where is HR7? Finally, on 5th April 2020 HR7 joined BLUE24 on the Brenig nest. Exactly 2 long weeks after BLUE 24 and 13 days later than 2019 when they both arrived back on 23rd March 2019. Welcome back HR7.
“We monitor the wellbeing of the Brenig ospreys as part of our essential conservation work, including taking quick photos to verify observations. We are on site as rarely and for as little time as possible, and write our public updates only once back at home. Please do not visit Llyn Brenig or Gors Maen Llwyd Nature Reserve until government guidelines permit.”
